If hooking 5 or even 15 cameras up to each other wasn’t enough Sony just dropped a new addon for the Sony RX0 that lets you control up to 100 of them. Don’t get too excited, though, that addon is the CCB-WD1 wired control box. You’ll need one for each camera, and they’ll cost $699 each, on top of the $699 camera price. So those 100 cameras will cost you around $140K in total....
As it turns out, Nintendo actually had plans for a Switch Pro, but has since cancelled them. That’s according to Digital Foundry, who mentioned on its most recent DF Direct Weekly podcast that Nintendo is going in a slightly different direction. Digital Foundry’s John Linneman says that after having spoken with different developers, Nintendo did at one point have plans for a mid-gen Switch update. However, those plans are no longer happening....
ON1 Software has announced ON1 Photo RAW 2020, new and improved editing software aiming to be your “all-in-one photo workflow solution.” It looks like AI-based features are becoming “a must” in photo editing software, and ON1 Photo Raw isn’t lagging behind. The latest version comes with some AI-based tools, but also plenty of other improvements over the previous one, so let’s dive in and see what’s new. ON1 Photo RAW 2020 supports raw files for over 800 camera models, as well as TIF, PSD, PSB, PNG, and DNG....
A new patent spotted by Canon News shows a lens mount that looks similar to both Canon’s EF and EF-M mounts but is actually neither. The web translation of the patent is a little confusing. The patent seems to suggest, though, that this mount could be some kind of hybrid compatible with both full frame EF and EF-M mirrorless lenses. We all knew, really, that a new mount would likely be coming with a full frame mirrorless Canon....
Did you know your laundry is toxic? Tests show that billions of people drink water with plastic fibers, and we can blame our washing machines for it. Photographer Benjamin Von Wong decided to point out to this issue in his usual way – by creating an epic photo project. He aims at raising awareness and hopefully getting electronics companies come up with washing machines which will prevent the pollution.
