Hurricane Matthew was the deadliest hurricane in over a decade, killing at least 500 to possibly over a 1,000 people during its run. It also caused billions of dollars worth of damage to property. That devastation included Hope Mills, North Carolina which saw severe flooding. In the aftermath, filmmaker ImSoFIRST took out his drone to survey the area. After getting back home, he posted a still frame to Instagram and Twitter....

Sometimes it’s good to have your creative friends visit as it can really get the creative juices flowing. So whilst my friend Renee Robyn was in the UK, I thought I may as well take her photo. I know you all think the final photo is true, but I’m sorry to say its a fake, I photoshopped it…..but it wasn’t far off. Anyway here is how I used photoshop to show Renee’s “inner self”....

Fine art photographer Gray Malin recently published the second instalment of his Far Far Away series. It’s an interesting and somewhat abstract set of images shot in the Bolivian salt flats, Salar de Uyuni. One particular image involved transporting 500 bananas out into the middle of the salt flats, to create a huge pile of them. You might think the image is Photoshopped and indeed all is not quite as it seems, but the image was created entirely in-camera....
