Daniel and Rachel from Mango Street have teamed up with photographer Daniel DeArco to introduce you to the basics of studio lighting. And when they do it, it seems less scary and it will help you successfully take the first steps. This time, Rachel and Daniel didn’t take shots, but they served as the models, and Daniel DeArco demonstrated two different looks of artificial lighting mixed with natural light....

Along with today’s announcement of raw over HDMI for the Nikon Z6 and Z7, Nikon has also announced a downloadable firmware update for the same cameras to provide limited CFexpress support. Version 2.20 firmware for the Nikon Z6 and Z7 is available to download free of charge and you don’t need to send off your camera to have it implemented, although that support is somewhat limited. It only works for Type B CFexpress cards manufactured by Sony....

Spencer Elden has had his latest attempt at suing Nirvana over his claims of “sexual exploitation” dismissed in US District Court in Los Angeles. This is the third such time he’s attempted to sue the band, and this dismissal means there won’t be a fourth time. A previous claim was dismissed in January, as Elden’s legal team failed to file an opposition to a Nirvana estate request. A new deadline was set, the appropriate paperwork was seemingly submitted and it came before the court....

We’ve seen a couple of great projects from the folks at NONS over the last couple of years, like the original NONS SL42 in February 2020 followed by the NONS SL42 Mark II in 2021. These cameras shoot the 4:3 aspect 645 medium format Fuji Instax film. Now, NONS has launched their newest camera, the SL660 which takes the slightly larger 6×6 Fuji Instax square film. Like the previous models, the NONS SL660 features a passive Canon EF mount with no electronic signal for autofocus or aperture control....
