Nikon Accused Of False Advertising In Germany Over D500 Wi Fi Claims

German website Fotografie is reporting that Nikon have received a “cease and desist” from disgruntled German D500 owner, Andreas V., for falsely advertising the camera’s Wi-Fi abilities. While the camera does indeed offer Wi-Fi, it can only be utilised via Nikon’s new Bluetooth connected SnapBridge system. At the moment, SnapBridge is only available to owners of compatible Android devices, with an iOS version not scheduled for release until later in the year....

No Sony Is Not Making The Canon Eos R3 Sensor Canon Is

Well, it turns out that Canon is making their own sensor for the Canon EOS R3 after all. After a wording change on various Canon websites last month suggested that it was designed by them but manufactured by somebody else – possibly Sony – Canon has done something they almost never do. They’ve publicly addressed a rumour. As well as the wording change, an interview with Canon Russia’s Head of Product and Consumer Expertise, Andrey Tischenko by Russian photography website PhotoWebExpo points out that the first Canon camera to contain a stacked sensor was the G7X Mark III – which contains a Sony sensor....

Panasonic Is Adding 5 9K 12 Bit Raw Video To The S1 And S5 Mirrorless Cameras

Panasonic has announced an upcoming firmware for the Panasonic S1 and S5 that brings full-frame 5.9K 12-Bit RAW over HDMI video capabilities to the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR. There is a slight caveat for S1 users, though.
