Last week, Canon rehoused a couple of its old EF lenses into RF cases, but also released something brand new. That lens is the Canon RF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM and it brings with it a new and very unique feature – Spherical Aberration Control. It’s a ring just behind the focus ring that lets you adjust how the out of focus areas of the scene are rendered within your shot....

Thomas Pesquet is known as an astronaut and the current commander of the ISS. And for us photographers, his stunning photos from the orbit are especially interesting. He recently captured a rare event named transient luminous event (TLE), also called “upper-atmospheric lightning.” Not only it’s not common to see it from Earth, but how often can you see it from space? A TLE is basically a thunder strike in the upper atmosphere, as Pesquet explains on Flickr, adding that it happens very rarely....

The New York Skyline is probably one of the most fluid in the world. Its outline is ever-changing with new buildings going up and old ones being replaced on a regular basis. Photographer and filmmaker Joe DiGiovanna spotted this from the window of his apartment in Weehawken, New Jersey, and decided that he wanted to capture it in timelapse.
