Panasonic has now officially announced the new full-frame L mount mirrorless S1H camera. With 6K 3:2 24p video capabilities, 14+ stops of dynamic range, the camera is still technically in the development stages, but it is now definitely on the way. They’re hoping to release it in Autumn 2019, though, and is expected to have a price tag of around $4,000. While the camera is still in the development stages, some specs do appear to be final....

In November, ProGrade Digital announced the largest SD cards to date in their Gold V60 UHS-II lineup. With the data storage needs of video shooters today, such large cards are in high demand – especially at reasonable prices. So, we took the new $199 ProGrade Gold 512GB V60 UHS-II card and put it through speed tests to compare it with ProGrade’s $499 Cobalt 512GB V90 UHS-II SD card. While there is a little difference in the maximum hypothetical read speed of the card (250MB/sec vs 300MB/sec), they offer minimum sustained write speeds of 60MB/sec and 90MB/sec, respectively....

The Nisi S6 system is designed for landscape photographers who would like to have a filter system for ultra-wide-angle lenses. Specifically for those without a regular filter thread. The system comes with a rotating CPL (circular polarizer), and it allows the use of two more filters. The S6 is a new iteration of a (similarly named) S5, and it features a few improvements. Olympus might take the mirrorless sales crown in Japan, but Sony once held the top spot and is looking to come back with vengeance. It’s newest weapon is the much anticipated Sony a6300, a brand new mirrorless camera that packs in 24-megapixels, incredibly fast autofocus and 4K video capability, all for only $1,000. At the heart of the new a6300 is a 24-megapixel CMOS APS-C sensor with copper wiring, which is said to improve the light collection efficiency and improve readout speeds....
