Canon has now officially announced the new Canon EOS 850D/Rebel T8i, and it looks like the rumours were mostly true. As an “enthusiast level” DSLR, it houses a 24.1-megapixel APS-C sensor and shoots 4K video. It retains the design of its 800D predecessor, as well as the 45-point all cross-type AF, but offers some nice updates, too. The EOS 850D/T8i both replaces both the EOS 77D (basically a 750D/T6i but with a top LCD) and the EOS 800D....

Dummy Galaxy S22 series units appeared in two images quite recently, and this video is giving us a better look at them. Every single one of them is picked up by whoever filmed this, so that you can get a better look at the devices, from various sides. Do note that the cameras likely won’t protrude as much, as they shouldn’t protrude outside the camera housing, on the Galaxy S22 and S22+ at least....

Although Australia is experiencing a rather warm summer at the moment, for much of the world it’s the dead of winter. That means it freezing cold, and there’s often ice and snow to contend with. This time of year can make for some beautiful photography, although it does not come without its challenges. Well, this is pretty unique. A motion-controlled motorised orbiting camera rig. Developed by Josh Yeo of MAKE. ART. NOW. along with Axibo, the Marbl Orbit is a motion control rig that gets suspended from your ceiling to… well, spin a camera around you or whatever your subject is. And it can do it in realtime, slow motion or even timelapse. The video above explains the goals of the product, who it’s targeted towards and what it attempts to achieve for them....

Sigma has made some excellent cameras over the years, and their Foveon sensors have generally been unmatched when it comes to resolving power. But Sigma’s newest FP uses a more traditional Bayer sensor, to compensate for the Foveon’s major downfall. Namely, speed. Producing a camera that shoots 4K 30fps 12-Bit RAW video would have been impossible with existing Foveon tech, so Bayer was the natural choice to give more users what they need....
