Quick Settings tiles, as part of the Quick Settings panel, have been around for a long time. Google actually showed off the Quick Settings panel with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which was almost 10 years ago. That being said, Google opened the API to custom tiles with Android 7.0 Nougat. That allowed developers to create their very own Quick Settings tiles, and allow users to utilize them. Not many developers did that, though....

In 2015, the city of Calgary commissioned artist Derek Michael Besant $20,000 CAD (around $15,500 USD) for a public exhibit. Two years later, the exhibition has been taken down because it turns out that Besant used copyrighted images without permission.Advertisements A traveler to Calgary noticed that one of the images in the installation resembled UK Comedian Bisha Ali. After Ali was notified, the deception began to unravel and the artist was exposed for fraud....

For two weeks now, there has been an ongoing scam that caused twenty people from LA to lose thousands of dollars in camera gear. A user under the name “Andy Mai” uses Facebook Marketplace and Venmo payment system to pull the scam and steal the gear. Four victims of the scam have been verified, and in total they lost $25,000. However, after two sellers shared their story, it turned out that there may be as many as 20 scammed people, with the total loss of as much as $100,000....

Canon has published their Q3 2018 financial report, and although things seem to have taken a little dip with a decline in overall interchangeable lens camera sales, their future still looks bright. So, essentially, they’ve been focusing on entry level cameras, but fewer people are now buying entry level cameras, so sales are down. Well, there has to be a point of saturation where everybody has entry-level cameras, or they’re buying older, higher end used models as their entry into photography (it’s not like there’s a shortage of those these days)....
