This is a tricky article to write. I’m writing it because of observations I’ve made within the photography community, so here goes. As photographers, we all know that copying other photos and reverse engineering them is part and parcel of our learning experience. Nature Talks has announced the results of the Nature Photographer of the Year 2022 competition. This year, polar bears took the victory. Okay, not literally: it was Russian photographer Dmitry Kokh who took the photos of these animals in quite an unusual setting. His remarkable image House of Bears shows a polar bear in an abandoned weather station. And yes, you saw the entire series on DIYP earlier this year! Of course, there are plenty other stunning photos among category winners, runner-ups and highly commended images....

And because I spend so much time in the chair every day, back, neck, and joint health is paramount to me. Which is the reason I can no longer sit in traditional gaming chairs for any length of time. The sad part about that is I generally enjoy some of the designs that traditional gaming chairs offer. And with the Respawn FLEXX that doesn’t have to be given up. In fact I think it looks better than just about any traditional gaming chair out there....

Ricoh has reportedly sent out an email to customers informing them that they’re shutting down their EU website at Ricoh-Imaging.eu on September 5th. It seems that the singular all-encompassing website is to be replaced by a number of brand-specific websites. This will allow them to target each specific demographic rather than having a single catch-all website for all their customers across all sectors. Samsung released the Android 13 update for the Galaxy A71 in Europe a couple of weeks ago. It came with the October SMR (Security Maintenance Release). The big Android update is now available widely, including in Asia, and the wider release also brings a newer security patch. It may not be the December SMR yet, but users in Asia are getting the November security release. Last month’s SMR patches more than 60 vulnerabilities in Galaxy devices....
