Samyang has today announced the release of its newest autofocus lens, the Samyang AF 50mm F1.4 FE II. It’s an update to the first autofocus lens Samyang ever produced. So, this will be what Samyang meant by “RE:BORN of the 1st” in its teaser a few weeks ago. According to the press release, The Samyang AF 50mm F1.4 FE II is the smallest and lightest amongst large aperture 50mm lenses with the Sony FE mount, coming in at 88....

As of this writing, there aren’t any specifications to speak of and no clear branding has been identified either. The design language for the gadget hasn’t been discussed either. What is certain is that the focal point of the company isn’t going to be on delivering just another smartphone. Instead, Simple Mobile Tools will put the bulk of its effort into the same category as its other apps. That’s as developers and purveyors of straightforward open-source alternative apps ranging from calendars, calculators, and dialers to photo galleries and note-taking apps....

This is probably going to surprise precisely nobody, but the Sony A7S III product photos have leaked ahead of the official announcement tomorrow. What is a surprise, though, is that they’re not coming from Nokishita this time, but directly from Sony Alpha Rumors and they confirm at least one detail about the new camera. It definitely has a flippy out LCD. There hasn’t been a confirmed spec sheet leaked yet, although the official announcement is expected tomorrow at 10am Eastern (7am Pacific, 3pm in the UK) where we’ll get to find out everything about Sony’s new video-focused camera....
