The company announced Instagram.com/hacked, a new feature for reporting and attempting to resolve account access problems. The new platform is an all-in-one support page where Instagram will ask whether the issue concerns a hacked account, forgotten password, impersonation, loss of a two-factor authentication method, or a disabled account. Users can choose the issue that applies to them and use the mentioned steps to regain access to their account. Earlier this year, Instagram introduced a feature that allows users who have been locked out of their accounts and are trying to regain access to select two friends who can vouch for their identity and help verify it....

Intel have dabbled a little with drones before. Their RealSense computer vision platform for obstacle navigation features on the Yuneec Typhoon H. They also have the Intel Aero Platform allowing you to build your own drones. But their entry into the commercial drone market is an interesting one. Drone technology at all levels has already come a long way in just a few short years, but a company that has the kind of resources Intel has certainly may shake things up....

I watched a video from Atlanta-based commercial photographer and OneLight wizard Zack Arias last night. I hadn’t planned to watch it all as I was headed to bed, but I found it very interesting. So, I ended up watching the whole thing and going to sleep far too late. The video covers Zack’s thoughts on Unsplash, and it makes Zack’s position quite clear. He’s not happy. Fujifilm’s recently released Acros II starts shipping in Japan this month, but it looks like it’s possibly being manufactured by Ilford, and not Fujifilm themselves. The big clue comes via the Twitter feed of eto_silversalt who posted photos of Fuji’s new Acros II box in 120 format roll film, which clearly bears the mark “Made in UK”. Well, the only commercial film manufacturer in the UK is Ilford. We’re not suggesting it’s any kind of rebranded Ilford film, something which Ilford categorically denies they do, but it is certainly possible that they might be manufacturing Acros II for Fuji....

A camera’s built in meter often does a great job of making a “correct” exposure, but it’s not always what the photographer wants to capture. Despite how “smart” they’ve become, camera meters will still often get it wrong. They’ll blow out the sky to maintain the ground, or you’ll get a well exposed sky with your subject crushed to a black silhouette.
