This is likely one of those future-proofing things that we often see manufacturers put into their hardware. Like the 2TB microSD card limit on many Android smartphones, even though 1TB cards were only just recently announced and aren’t quite available yet. But Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 670, 675, 710, 845 and 855 models all seem to support a somewhat insane 192-megapixel camera sensor. But even if it is just future-proofing, the fact that Qualcomm might see the potential for camera smartphones to get even close to that is rather telling....

Well-known fashion photographer Jingna Zhang has announced that she has decided to no longer engage in fashion photography, citing an unforgiving uphill battle against racism in the Western Magazine market as one of the reasons for quitting. The announcement came as a major blow to Zhang’s many followers and fans who had looked to her as an inspiration, particularly among other Asian female aspiring photographers. She was a regular feature in many high profile fashion magazines, including cover images on Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar....

Galaxy S20 users will have to ensure at least 623MB of free space, while the firmware version to look out for is G98xBXXU9DUH2. If you own a Galaxy Note 10, the update weighs 927MB and has the firmware version N97xFXXU7FUH3. Lastly, the update on the Galaxy Note 20 has the firmware version N98xBXXU3DUH2 with a size of 738MB....

As of this writing, the August SMR (Security Maintenance Release) for the Galaxy Fold LTE is available in France with firmware version F900FXXU6HVG5. The 5G variant of the phone is picking up the same update in the UK with firmware version F907BXXU6HVG5. The devices are also getting some system stability improvements with this release. The rollout should reach other markets, including the US, in the coming days. The August SMR is also rolling out to the LTE variant of the Galaxy Z Flip....

Launched back in March 2016, Good Lock has existed for more than six years now. But all this while, it was only available in a handful of markets. The app debuted in Samsung’s homeland South Korea and expanded to only 14 other countries as of April last year, including Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the UAE, the UK, and the US. That’s a way too limited release considering Samsung’s presence around the world....
