The Find X5 Pro comes with a premium build. The company used both metal and ceramic to make this phone a reality, and even though it’s obvious it’s related to the Find X3 Pro, it does look a bit different. It does stand out with this design, especially with the design of the rear camera island. The phone also has a lot to offer in the spec department, and so on....
Well, it’s just a big ol’ gear day for Canon today, huh? Along with the Canon EOS R3 development announcement, Canon has also announced three new lenses. Well, I say “new”, two of them, the RF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM and RF 600mm f/4L IS USM as mentioned in the previous image leak post, just appear to be EF lenses with a built-in RF adapter. But there does appear to be one completely new lens, which is the Canon RF 100mm f/2....
We’ve been hearing rumours since The Photography Show that several brands may be pulling out of this year’s Photokina in September. Big brands including Canon, Elinchrom and Profoto. Of course, none of them would confirm anything at the time, but Elinchrom has now put out a statement. They are the first to confirm that they are pulling out of Photokina 2018, but they may not be the last. Update: Photokina organisers have confirmed to DIYP that both Profoto and Canon will be an attendance at Photokina 2018...
Lens adapters to put Canon EF mount lenses onto M mount bodies are nothing new. Canon’s had one for a while now. But when it comes to speedbooster style adapters, one company’s pretty much had the market sewn up, and that’s Metabones. But Metabones only produces such adapters for Sony, Micro Four Thirds and Fuji crop cameras. At least for now. A new Japanese patent (2018185393) suggests that Canon will be working on their own, now, though, breathing some new life to their EOS M mount line of cameras – as well as their EF mount lenses as they make the push towards full frame mirrorless....
