I find stores of found negatives and accidentally discovered master photographers to be really exciting. And today, I’ve discovered another story like this thanks to Dylan Scalet. He is a man who, sadly, never met his grandfather. But he has met him through his photographic work which he decided to share with the public. Dylan has scanned over 5,000 of his grandfather’s negatives so far, and oh man, am I happy that he shared them with the world!...

Scrolling through my Facebook feed, I stumbled upon a sponsored post for an interesting Kickstarter campaign promoting Funleader Cap Lens 18mm f/8.0. It’s a very slim, lightweight, and very cheap wide-angle lens. As the name says, it’s so slim, that it looks like a lens cap. The Funleader 18mm f/8 lens doesn’t have any electronic components, which makes it really lightweight. Naturally, it also doesn’t provide autofocus. Instead, it relies on hyperfocal distance, similar to lenses in those old point-and-shoot film cameras....

Venus Optics has released quite a lot of interesting lenses over the past few years. And now, four of the most popular and most unusual ones are available in L-mount. Venus Optics has just launched the L-mount version of two wide-angle lenses and two macro lenses: 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye, 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D, 24mm f/14 2X Macro Probe, and 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro. All of these four lenses already exist in other mounts....
