Old photos are a strong witness of history and of past times. National Geographic has recently published a century old photos of Antarctica, made before we were in the midst of strong climate changes. Photographer Herbert Ponting took the photos of the coldest continent in the early 20th century, a hundred years ago. They don’t only show the landscapes of Antarctica, but also the animals, explorers of the Terra Nova expedition, and their ships....

Adobe has been using its AI-powered Sensei technology to introduce various upgrades to its apps. In the most recent upgrade, Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and Lightroom CC became able to enhance details in your images and give you up to 30% higher resolution on raw files. The new feature is called Enhance Details and it uses machine learning to provide “state-of-the-art quality” for your images. Adobe explains that it approaches demosaicing in a new way, so it provides better resolving fine details and fixing issues like false colors and zippering....

As more and more people embrace the online world, cybersecurity is becoming a serious concern now more than ever. Digital identity theft and malicious online activities are reported every day. Unfortunately, most users don’t consider the phones to pose such serious risks. And yet, hackers are finding newer ways of targeting them....

Advertisements NASA discovered the comet in March with the NEOWISE mission. Across the Northern Hemisphere, stargazers and astrophotographers alike can enjoy a glimpse of this interstellar object. Officially designated Comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE), it is one of three comets discovered this year. Earlier in 2020 the two other comets, Comet SWAN and Comet ATLAS, were discovered. They were showing promising signs of eventually becoming bright enough to see with the naked eye, but both eventually fizzled out....
