I love photos of plants, flowers and nature. After seeing (and taking) my fair share of these, I started to believe it’s not easy to make them interesting and eye catching. And it’s been a while since I last saw a set of flower images that kept me staring at them with amazement. But then I discovered Craig Burrows‘ photos of flowers and plants which look like something out of this world....

When Blackmagic announced the new Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, they did something very different from the launch of the Pocket 4K. They actually started shipping them only a couple of days afterwards. Virtual reality can take you to places you otherwise couldn’t see, and there’s still plenty of room for improving and experimenting with VR technology. In a recent blog post, Google has announced that they’re experimenting with light field photography to create more realistic VR experience. To make this possible, the company is using a solution that seems pretty simple and clever: a rig made of 16 rotating GoPro cameras. As Paul Debevec of Google writes, VR needs to be as close as possible to what we’d see in real world....

We’ve featured plenty of stunning photo recreations so far. But this time, I’ve stumbled upon one such project that will make your day better. It’s about a cute toddler recreating model photos of his uncle. It all started as a family jok and turned into a project that’s cute and hilarious at the same time. The stars of the project are the model Aristotle Polites and his little nephew Augie. The whole thing started pretty much accidentally, thanks to Aristotle’s older sister, Katina Behm....

The UK Government has just announced that they’re hiring an official photographer. If you need a job and miss travels in these crazy times, it may be a good opportunity for you. The yearly salary is £60,000, and you’ll get to travel and take photos of the UK Government and its ministers. The job posting was shared by the Cabinet Office, with a detailed job description and requirements. If you plan to apply, it’s a must to have a background in photojournalism....
