Paul C. Buff have today announced their first new flash units since the Einstein six years ago with the launch of the DigiBee DB800 and DB400 studio strobes. Essentially, they’re digital AlienBees, but smaller, and with a few cool new features. Photographer Nino Batista got his hands on the first two off the production line and put together this video to test their limits and offer up his review on how well they perform....
You may know Mike Olbinski by his stunning work in creating storm timelapse. He recently presented his latest work, appropriately titled Pursuit. This time, nature wasn’t on his side. It was difficult to catch the storms and shoot them for the film, despite all the effort. So he traveled 28,000 miles across the USA, pursuing the most spectacular and awe-inspiring storms, and not giving up. And he did it – he created another fantastic timelapse video that shows the overwhelming power of nature....
The test comes from the YouTube channel PhoneBuff. Historically, iPhones pip the Android flagship in such comparisons. While this doesn’t change with the Pixel 6 Pro in this test, it managed to perform better than Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra. Even though these tests don’t represent real-world performance, they give us a decent idea about the strengths and weaknesses of both devices. The test uses a robotic arm to open and close a total of four games and 12 apps....
According to a handful of customers on the Roku forums (via), the most recent Roku update may have caused this issue. Users claim that playback can freeze every few minutes or even with a shorter frequency. The issue seemingly affects users of Roku-branded televisions from the likes of Hisense and TCL, as well as Roku players. Google or Roku haven’t offered any information on this new bug, so there’s still some mystery about the cause....
