I’m sure that many of us have been asked to work for free in all sorts of annoying ways. One cheeky couple recently sent an email to a photographer asking for a coverage of their 10-hour wedding. In return, they offered exposure to the incredible number of 300 guests, 117 of them unmarried. What a tempting offer, right? The screenshot of the email was posted on Reddit and we don’t know the name of the photographer who received this incredible offer....

What makes a portrait dramatic? If you search the internet you’ll get quite a few answers, ranging from the practical to the abstract. Suggestions such as creating a mood, dark backgrounds and using fog or smoke all feature. As does using a characterful subject, often dressing the part. While these things certainly do contribute to a dramatic moody feel in an image, fundamentally for me, it’s all about the lighting. And that’s exactly what Slovenia-based photographer David Keinne harnessed to achieve this stunning low key portrait....

Many cultural institutions use social networks nowadays to promote their events. Geneva’s Museum of Art and History is no exception, but Facebook’s photo policy ruined its campaign. The museum posted images of two ancient statues that will be exhibited in an upcoming show. However, Facebook apparently thinks they’re porn, so it banned the museum’s ad. The museum tried to promote its upcoming show titled César et le Rhône (Caesar and the Rhone)....

Usually, when it comes to bright lights in the night sky, all we hear about from photographers is “Aurora Borealis!”, also known as the Northern Lights. But there are also the Southern Lights, which goes by the name Aurora Australis. They’re much less photographed because most photographers live in the northern hemisphere and they’re generally much easier to see. But from the ISS, there are great views of both. French astronaut and aerospace engineer Thomas Pesquet managed to grab these images from aboard the International Space Station that shows a breathtaking sight....

Samsung is rolling out the September security update to both 4G and 5G variants of the Galaxy A52. The former is getting the new SMR in Russia with firmware version A525FXXS4BVI2. That for the latter is A526BXXS1CVH7. The 5G variant is picking up the update in some Latin American countries, including Brazil and Colombia. The September SMR for both models should be available widely over the next few days. The Galaxy A33, which only comes in a 5G flavor, is receiving the new security update in Asia....
