The Light Blaster has become one of my favourite lighting tools over the last few months. I first got to play with one in person at The Photography Show in March. Some of you might remember the cartoon portrait tutorial by Dracorubio posted here shortly afterwards. Israel-based lighting company, Spiffy Gear has announced that they have been acquired by Tether Tools parent company, Imaging Brands. This sees Spiffy Gear teaming up with brands like the aforementioned Tether Tools, Frio – also acquired just last year – and the Smart Shooter tethering software. Imaging Brands says that “the Spiffy Gear acquisition is part of Imaging Brands’ strategic growth plants for the professional photo and video markets” and that Spiffy Gear’s team and product line will help them keep their commitment to “improving the experience of image creation for professionals and enthusiasts”....

CamRanger was almost a solo player in the wireless tethering arena for a very long time. While some suspected that CamRanger was simply an upgraded TPLINK 3040 router, the fact was that it delivered.
