Lookup Tables, or LUTs, are simply amazing. LUTs are like presets, but work across all platforms and software, for both video and stills. LUTs can be used for both colour correction, to bring cameras to a standard, and for giving your footage or images a desired “look”. But how do we use them? The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 stable update for the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro comes with firmware version G736BXXU1BVK2 in Europe (via). The phone remains on the October security patch even though the November SMR (Security Maintenance Release) has been out for some time now. But the security patch isn’t of primary interest here. Since the device is eligible for monthly security updates, it should get the December patch on time....
Google Chrome, and several other browsers such as Microsoft Edge and Brave, are based on a browser called Chromium. There’s a large community that contributes changes to Chromium, and those changes help it grow and develop over the years. Samsung is one of the companies that contribute to Chromium, and it’s been one of the major contributors. We can probably thank that company for some of our favorite features on our favorite browsers....
“ARRI has agreed to a settlement with Rotolight”, a joint statement between the two companies begins. In September 2021, ARRI began legal proceedings towards Rotolight, amongst others, disputing the validity of their lighting effect patents. The challenge came in view of what ARRI called “myriad prior art”. Basically, it’s been around for years, so what’s Rotolight done that’s actually new and patentable? They argued that it was “not new, but rather state of the art”....

But that’s exactly what Veydra have done in some new tests from the folks at LensRentals.
