As so often happens on social media these days, especially when it comes to audience reach, various claims have been popping up recently with regard to Instagram. Specifically that it limits the reach of your posts to only around 7% of your followers. It’s been circulating for a few months, and Instagram finally got sick of these accusations and has responded with a denial of the claims. They say that they’re not hiding anything and that if people scroll down their feeds far enough, your images will appear....
In its latest attempt to weed out inappropriate posts, Instagram has become even harsher than before. From now on, all “sexually suggestive” posts will be hidden from a wider Instagram community. They don’t even have to violate the Community Guidelines: it’s enough that Instagram considers them even remotely inappropriate. When a post goes against Instagram’s Community Guidelines, it simply gets deleted. Even if it’s famous artwork. However, Instagram claims that some posts might not be appropriate for its global community even if it complies with the rules....
After announcing the return of chronological feed, Instagram has finally lived up to its promise. The platform has rolled out the global test, so some of you can now choose between three different feeds, including the one that arranges the posts in chronological order.
