The Hot rod on Fire Shooting inspired me to this one. But there was a huge difference, this photograph was done with only one exposure. We got it done after a lot of preparation – a nearly 3-Meter-long diy fire torch, two strobes and a 4.4 Seconds exposure created this image. Planning did take much longer this time, because we had to build a small pond including a platform for the reflection....
It was the camera that they noticed. We spoke about all sorts, but what I recall specifically from the conversation was one of women mentioning that she’d tried to have one of her photos printed by an online print company in New Zealand, but hadn’t been able to manage it. Whenever she uploaded it, the image was red-flagged for being too small. She wasn’t really sure what she was doing wrong, or what size her image needed to be so that she could print it....
A key detail to make note of is that JBL is launching the Quantum 350 as a wireless model for $100. This isn’t an unheard of price point for a wireless gaming headset. Earlier this year, Kodak showed the world that it has no plans of burying its storied history as a manufacturer of cinematic film. In addition to releasing a Super 8 camera, they also managed to get six major studios to purchase enough filmstock to help Kodak keep its plant operating. It appears though that their efforts haven’t stopped there though. Kodak has decided to team up with Kickstarter to create an artist initiative that will help support cinematographers who are interested in shooting analogue film in the 35mm and Super 16mm varieties....
Being in the photography business successfully for 40 years has been an amazing journey and a great accomplishment for me. I believe that the people I meet are the best clients anyone could wish for. For the most part, my clients book an appointment, look at the images and then make a purchase according to the price list I provide, and they go home a happy camper. Once in a while, though, a new client will express concerns about what they perceive to be the high cost of professional photography in general, and they wonder aloud if it is really worth it....
