This 24 Hour Timelapse Is An Infinite Loop Of The Earth S Rotation

When we look up to the night sky, or even the day, we see the stars and the sun as objects that appear to move across our sky. In reality, they’re staying relatively still. It’s us that’s moving. Spinning around at up to 1,000 miles per hour. It’s a difficult concept to wrap our heads around, though. A thousand miles an hour seems incredibly fast, but things move across the sky so slowly....

This Battle Of The Bokeh Pits The Laowa 35Mm F 0 95 Against The Ttartisan 90Mm F 1 25

Bokeh balls. I wasn’t aware that was a phrase but apparently, it is, according to this rather amusing video by Kai and Lok. In the video, they are having a look at two admittedly wildly different lenses, both with the feature of having very wide apertures and seeing what the bokeh is like for each of these. You know how you’re not supposed to fly a drone above 400 feet altitude? Well, a pilot from Russia managed to fly a 1.06 kg (2.3 lbs) drone at 33,000 feet, the altitude most airplanes use for cruising. Luckily, there were no airplanes nearby during this little experiment, and the flight lasted 26 minutes....

This May Be The Last Cibachrome Image Ever Taken And It S A Hand Built Camera

Have you ever tried Cibachrome (Ilfochrome) processing? The materials for it are not produced any longer, and I suppose most of us will never get to see or make such photos. But artist and engineer Tim Hunkin was lucky enough to have some of the papers left in stock. He chose quite a strange DIY camera, developed the photos inside of it, and achieved remarkable results. Tim got interested in photography and photographic chemistry in mid-90s, when we were still a long way from digital cameras....

This Photographer Converted His Sony A7R To Full Spectrum For Infrared Photography

There are two things common to many photographers. We’d like to be able to shoot infrared – because why not? It’s a lot of fun – and we probably have an old DSLR or mirrorless camera or six laying around somewhere just gathering dust. Photographer Davin Lavikka fell into those categories, so he decided to do something about While there are many conversion services out there around hte world now, Davin decided to convert his old Sony A7R into a full spectrum camera all by himself....
