The announcement that many people have been waiting for, ever since the L Mount Alliance was first made official back at Photokina 2018, may finally be upon us. Sigma noted at the time of the initial alliance announcement that a full-frame Foveon sensor camera was on the way, but it was expected in 2019. But instead, they released the Sigma fp, and pushed the Foveon camera back to 2020. Now, though, Sigma Imaging UK has posted up a “Sigma News from CP Plus 2020“ event on their Facebook page, which suggests that a big announcement is on the way....

Well, that was quick. It was only yesterday that word leaked that Sigma had a 14mm f/2.8 pro zoom in the works. There weren’t even any leaked photos. But now, it’s official Sigma has announced the new 14mm f/2.8 DF HSM Art series ultra wide angle zoom lens. Although how long you may have to wait for it to be able to actually get your hands on one is anybody’s guess....

It looks like that camera might finally now be here, although it’s not called the A7000, it’s the Sony A6600. Yes, Sony has announced a new APS-C mirrorless camera, but they’ve not just announced one. They’ve announced two. Alongside the A6600, there’s also a new Sony A6100, a replacement for the ageing A6000....

A few years ago, Google gave students a chance to experience virtual reality through Google Expeditions. Using Google Cardboard, the app allowed students to take VR field trips all over the world. Some of the places they got to explore included the Great Wall of China and the Yosemite. This time around, however, the tech giant is now letting students create their own virtual tours through their new app called the Tour Creator....
