It’s a shame to be leaving Flickr because I like the way Flickr works and the way it presents my images but functionality and looks aren’t enough to keep me as a user....

California-based online personalised photography product retailer, Shutterfly, is set to buy US photography company, Lifetouch. In a deal paying $825 million in cash, the focus is on growing both of the businesses, according to Shutterfly CEO, Chris North. It will allow Shutterfly to reach a new audience while allowing Lifetouch to offer more products to its customers. Lifetouch, an employee-owned company, has around 10 million customers in the US through its services to schools and communities....

Now it’s officially out and ready for your orders, and it’s priced at $899, which is pretty tempting compared to other similar lenses. The 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens comes in Sony FE and Leica L mount. It was designed for full-frame cameras, but of course, you can also use it on APS-C bodies....

Skylum is no stranger to AI-powered imaging apps. Luminar and Aurora HDR both feature AI-enhanced effects to help make your post-processing life a little easier, and their Photolemur software is entirely AI-based. Now, Skylum is turning their attention towards drone photographs with a new desktop app for Windows and Mac called AirMagic. AirMagic looks a lot like Photolemur (and even the icons are very similar), in that it’s largely automated. Except AirMagic’s AI is optimised for images shot from the air....

Sony has now officially announced its tiny trio of compact full-frame E mount primes. The set is comprised of FE 24mm f/2.8, 40mm f/2.5 and 50mm f/2.5 G lenses, although they’re probably not quite as inexpensive as you might have been expecting. The lenses are priced at $599 each for all three 24mm, 40mm and 50mm focal lengths – which, given their relatively slow apertures, doesn’t sound all that great, but their compact size is definitely very attractive....
