A year ago, Richard Zhang and a team at University of California revealed Algoritmia, an app that does it automatically. It was fun to play with it, but there was still plenty of room for improvement. Now, a year later, they have found a new approach....
A previously leaked image of the upcoming DJI Mavic 2 drone suggested a removable gimbal. However, the latest Argo catalog has published two images of the upcoming drone, showing that there will be two versions after all. DJI will launch a Zoom model and a Pro model, each designed to cover specific shooting needs. Vaxis recently launched their Atom 600 KV wireless video transmission system designed specifically for the RED Komodo. Now the company has announced that it’s also available in a new Stormtrooper White flavour, so that those who happen to have the white Komodo can color coordinate their rig. The Atom 600 KV offers up to 600ft of transmission (line of sight) with less than 80ms of latency. It features passthrough signals for HDMI and SDI as well as for power and supports up to 1080p 60fps frame rates....
A few years ago, Kodachrome was “investigating the possibility” of bringing Kodachrome back. Sadly, the company gave it up and the legendary film never made a comeback. But hey, not all is lost: at least we now have a Kodachrome recreation from VSCO. The company went above and beyond to recreate the iconic film’s look, and they shared what it took to get there. It was a painstaking process, but photographers seem to be thrilled with the result....
