I believe it’s hard to beat clichés when it comes to wedding photography. But Brazilian photographer Fernando Duque and witty bride Rebeca Brantes nailed it with Rebeca’s bridal photo shoot. She is a computer engineer surrounded by guy friends, so she couldn’t gather a bunch of girlfriends for the shoot. But then she got an idea – why not make it with guys? After this fun idea, she found a great photographer, but also five great male friends who were more than willing to help her out....

DJI, manufacturer of the very popular series of Phantom drones, have opened up a new facility in South Korea. Named the DJI Arena, it allows drone owners to learn more about how to fly their craft. It’s a fairly substantial size, with 1,395 square metres (15,015 sq ft.) of space. It also offers an obstacle course, for those wanting to test their aerial prowess. Their goal is to “help foster the local drone culture and play an important role in building a healthy UAV ecosystem in Korea”....

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has recently proposed that the laptop ban should expand to all international flights. This time, it won’t refer to the laptops, cameras and other devices in the carry-on, but in the checked luggage. Reportedly, the United Nations will consider the proposal in the upcoming weeks. If it gets accepted, you may not be able to put large electronic devices in your checked bags, no matter where from or where to you’re traveling....

A couple of months ago, we showed you some of Film Ferrania’s hardware. The equipment they’re using to bring back the company, as well as some much loved films. The plan then seemed to be starting fresh with E6 slide film. As it turns out, though, black & white has become the priority. The company has now announced shipping will soon begin for Ferrania P30 in a limited Alpha edition. Film Ferrania P30 is a panchromatic (sensitive to all colours of the visible spectrum) black and white motion picture film for stills photography....

We’ve seen people damage artworks, nature, national parks, even hurt animals just to take photos for social media. Recently, it has been happening around Lake Wanaka in New Zealand. A photogenic tree in the lake is insanely popular on Instagram. There’s even a hashtag #thatwanakatree, with almost 20K posts at the moment. Tourists are visiting the popular location and climbing the tree to take photos. Because of this, the brittle willow could be destroyed....
