DIY camera sliders come in all shapes and sizes… Well, sizes, anyway. They’re usually all a pretty similar shape. Long poles along which a platform moves. But this one, I thought, was particularly interesting. Not all of the information has been released on it yet, although it’s expected to be teased over the next day or two as the video gains more attention. It was posted to YouTube by MERT Arduino & Tech and like many DIY sliders, it’s powered by an Arduino....

The steel wool photography thing isn’t exactly a new idea. In fact, it’s been done to death. To the point now where most photographers avoid having anything to do with it, which isn’t surprising after a number of high profile fires in recent years. It’s not difficult to do, and it doesn’t require a lot of items to do it, either. Items you can pick up in just about any high street (or hardware store)....

Camera and lenses aren’t the only photographic essentials that cost money. A decent machine with plenty of RAM and fast storage (preferably SSD) and rather expensive serious photography software are must-haves, too. That’s at least how the conventional photographic wisdom goes. It may be so if you are making a living with your photography. But you don’t have to throw your hard-earned money into the bottomless pit of photography, if you are willing to look away from “industry standards” and “de facto” tools....

The guys at Corridor are fairly well known for their flying cameras. From others, we’ve also seen action cameras stuffed into a giant nerf football and attached to kites to get an airborne view. And then there are a million drone videos. So, video from the air needs to be pretty interesting to catch our attention these days. Well, this one sure is interesting. The Corridor Crew actually attached an Insta360 One camera to an arrow....
