The Nikon Z6 Ii And Z7 Ii Will Get Support For Both Blackmagic And Prores Raw

As mentioned during the initial announcement of Nikon’s two mirrorless cameras, the Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II, both will be eligible for a firmware upgrade to add RAW over HDMI capabilities (it does not come with the camera out of the box). As with RAW over HDMI on the Z6 and Z7 mirrorless cameras, though, it is still a $200 paid upgrade. We already knew that ProRes Support would be coming in the form of the Atomos Ninja V, although Blackmagic has now confirmed to No Film School that they’ll also be supporting Z6 II/Z7 II 4K60p BRAW recording in the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G as well....

The Panasonic Lumix S5 Is Now Capable Of Shooting 5 9K Prores Raw

Panasonic recently announced that they had a bunch of new firmware updates coming for their full-frame mirrorless lineup, including their newest addition, the Panasonic S5. The Sd Association Has Announced Sd Express 8 0 With Transfer Speeds Up To 4Gb Sec

Just when you think memory card speed limits are being hit, along comes the SD association to prove you wrong. This time, they’re announcing the SD Express 8.0 (SD8.0) specification which comes with transfer speeds of up to 4GB/sec (2GB/sec per lane up to two lanes). It’s built on the PCIe 4.0 standard and utilises NVM Express (NVMe) storage. The first SD Express standard (SD7.0) was unveiled in 2018, offering transfer speeds of up to 985MB/sec, but it’s already been obsoleted by SD8....
