Nikon Small World competition recently announced the winning images, and they show us that lots of beauty fits into tiny worlds. But now the winners of Nikon Small World in Motion have been announced, too. These include five videos that show us the microscopic world in motion, and just like the winning photos – they are truly impressive. Nikon Small World was founded in 1974, so this year marks the 45th year of the contest....

To save money I now have a suggestion that you guys can try! It’s quick, dirty, and will take a few tries to get it right. But I think once stacked you can make a pretty convincing difference from a snow-less scene etc! I’ve added curves here to start us off with a “cooler” temperature, I suggest you guys work with less warm files if you can! You should have the raw unlike myself, so you could easily use White-balance to make it so....

Pentax has now officially announced the new Pentax KF APS-C DSLR. I say “new”, but it’s not really that much different to the K-70. It’s had a few minor tweaks, but one major update is that it now has a proper flippy out LCD with a slightly higher resolution than its predecessor. It has some new custom image modes and features the special edition Kyushu and Katen Custom Image modes (with supported lenses)....
