First announced in May, Samsung’s 64-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor sounded pretty impressive. In July, Xiaomi teased a new camera that would feature this pretty insane sensor, as did Indian smartphone company, Realme. It looks like Xiaomi has beaten them to the finish line, though. They have now announced the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, the world’s first smartphone with a 64-megapixel camera. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro actually contains four cameras, with the Samsung ISOCELL 64-megapixel 1/1....

We often see the “expensive camera vs smartphone” comparisons, but they’re not typically performed with this level of attention to detail. Especially when it comes to the lighting. But if you’re photographer Karl Taylor, the lighting is very important, especially when it comes to comparing images from one camera to another. Karl recently photographed a custom Harley Davidson motorcycle in his studio using his 100-megapixel Hasselblad H6D-100c medium format camera. But with the lights already set up, he decided to give it a try with the iPhone, too, to see just how similar the images could look....
