Yup, today, Panasonic has officially announced their new Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 full-frame lens for L mount. Coming in at around $450, this isn’t an inexpensive lens, given that it’s “just” a 50mm f/1.8 lens. With Canon & Sony still floating around at $200-250 for their 50mm f/1....

World-famous Azure Window in Malta is no more. After heavy storms, the limestone arch collapsed into the sea and vanished completely. Photographers who took their photos are glad they did it while it was still there, and the rest of us are regretting not having a chance to take our own. Egyptian photojournalist Mahmoud Abu Zeid (a.k.a. Shawkan) won this year’s The Unesco/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize, awarded yearly to those contributing to press freedom anywhere in the world.
