Adobe has today announced their newest versions of Photoshop Elements 2023 and Premiere Elements 2023 with a bunch of new features to help make the photo and video editing process simpler and easier. The new versions include Adobe Sensei AI-powered features with step-by-step guided edits to help both beginner and advanced users. Elements 2023 also connects with new web and mobile companion apps for editing on the go. Among the highlighted new AI features in Photoshop Elements 2023 is Moving Elements that you can add to photos, letting you create Cinemagraphs without having to shoot any actual video footage and it’ll export them straight out to social-ready formats....

Samsung’s 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP1 smartphone sensor has been creating quite a store since it was first rumoured back in January. For some, it’s got them very excited, while others have been quite critical without even having seen (let alone tried) a real working sensor inside a camera. Samyang Optics has today announced their new Xeen CF 16mm T2.6 and 35mm T1.5 cine prime lenses. They’re available in Canon EF, Sony E and PL mounts. The two new lenses add to the 24mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5 and 85mm T1.5 completing Samyang’s lineup of five Xeen CF models. Ever since high speed sync was introduced to speedlights, I’ve seen questions about metering it. Up until now, it’s pretty much been impossible to judge with a handheld meter. You basically have to just go off your histogram. Now, that’s all changed. Originally announced at Photokina in September, Sekonic’s L-858D light meter is now getting into peoples hands. Being able to meter high speed sync should start to put an end to the debates over just how much power is lost once you go past your sync speed....
