We’re still in shock after hearing that Lily Robotics is shutting down, but apparently this isn’t all. The crash of the Lily Drone is even worse than we imagined. They are also facing a lawsuit by San Francisco district attorney’s office for false advertising and unfair business practices. And apparently, their promotional video was not even made by the drone they were promoting. The office conducted what they say to be a months-long investigation....

It’s been six years since Nikon released the Nikon D500. The camera that will likely be their last “pro” model APS-C DSLR. It was just over six years between the releases of the D500 and its predecessor, too. We’re still waiting on a mirrorless equivalent to the Nikon D500, but it appears that Nikon might have killed it off before announcing a replacement in its new mirrorless lineup. Retailers around the world are listing the Nikon D500 as discontinued or out of stock with no hints of getting more....

First spotted back in early March after registration in Russia, and then in Indonesia in July, the unreleased Nikon camera, “N2014” (which Nikon Rumors believes may be the upcoming Nikon Z9 flagship) now has some interesting new news. It looks like it’ll ditch the more traditional GPS system in favour of GNSS according to the latest registration. The news comes via Nokishita and says that as well as featuring the standard WiFi and Bluetooth, the N2014 camera will also utilise the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), which should offer more accurate positioning data....

The cover of Nirvana’s Nevermind album is as iconic as the album itself. But Spencer Elden, the baby in the image, is now a 30-year-old man who realized he’s not happy with his photo on the album cover. So, he decided to sue the band members and other folks related to Nirvana, alleging “child pornography.” I bet most of us have some version of this album still lying around somewhere. Mine is on a cassette tape in my old room at mom’s place....

Biggie Smalls estate (Notorious B.I.G., LLC) has filed a lawsuit against the wife of the famous hip hop photographer Chi Modu. According to Biggie’s estate, the late photographer’s wife should stop selling merchandise with the famous rapper photos. They claim it violates their right to publicity, even calling Chi Modu “a parasite.” Biggie Smalls or The Notorious B.I.G. is considered to be one of the greatest rappers of all time. Similarly, photographer Chi Modu was a superstar among the 1990s hip hop photographers, forming the visual identity of the rap scene of the time....
