Trail cameras offer a wonderful insight into the natural world around us. Often they’re fully automated to capture what wildlife does when we’re not around. After all, they usually get spooked pretty easily. I have a camera set up in the backyard for that very purpose. We often get foxes, deer and badgers entering the garden during the night. But what wildlife photographer Levi Dojczman has done, however, is take it to the extreme....

Infrared photography can give some unique images with some kind of an unworldly feel. Mathieu Stern wanted to see what it would look like to take portraits with this technique. He converted two cameras to shoot infrared, but they capture different wavelength. With a little help from his friends, he took some portraits with the converted camera, as well as a regular one. He has shared the results with us, and they are really interesting....

Photographer Mike Olbinski has become a synonym for breathtaking timelapse movies of different kinds of storms. The latest installment of his Monsoon series has just been published and it took an incredible amount of effort, money, and photos to put it together. Mike spent three months chasing storms for this movie – and he compressed the best shots in only eight minutes of pure nature’s spectacle. Mike writes that his original plan was to collect as much footage as usual, but not to compose and publish the Monsoon V until 2019....

A few days ago, NASA’s Orion spacecraft successfully splashed down in the Pacific Ocean. This means that, after 25 days, the first mission of the Artemis I program came to an end. Over the course of nearly a month, Orion treated us with some spectacular and detailed shots of the Moon’s surface. And in a recent video shared by ESA (European Space Agency), you can see the recap of the 25-day trip in only 60 seconds....
