Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw have never really been all that good at masking. They’ve had some basic rudimentary masking features through the brush and gradient features, but not in the way that something like Adobe’s own Photoshop provides. Well, now, it looks like that’s about to change. They’ve posted a sneak peek today of new masking features that will be coming soon to Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw and they look pretty impressive....

If you’ve shot video, or even sometimes if you’ve shot stills, you know what a hassle practical lighting can be. It’s always too bright or too dim to easily balance with the rest of your lights for the ISO you want to shoot at. Or, it’s completely the wrong colour. So, you have to get tricky with white balance, or gel things, or have a bunch of different types of bulbs on-hand to match to other light sources....

I’ve said this a hundred times, but I simply love stop-motion videos. And if they can make me smile, I love them even more. Artist and animator Warren Wright has created a series of such videos, and they’ve made my day today. He uses Barbie dolls and stop-motion animation to recreate iconic movie scenes and music videos. Step aside, Madonna, Barbie’s taking over! As you might have guessed from the previous sentence, Warren has recreated Madonna’s video....

Photography scams are not uncommon. New ones seem to be appearing regularly, and old ones just never seem to die off. Usually, they’re in the form of an email or a text message. They offer to overpay you, then request that you pass along payment to some other vendor. You do so, their cheque bounces, and you’re out a bunch of money.
