Geekoto is a relatively new brand when it comes to lighting. They offered both a speedlight as well a portable GT200 Fresnel strobe. Getting quality sound in your video can be tricky. Even when you have a great microphone and field recorder, you’re hindered by the environment. Outside we have traffic, birds and other noises to deal with. Indoors, the walls echo, and our voices can sound hollow. It’s nice to see the band back together and pushing out content regularly again. Gav’s great n’ all, but I’ve missed seeing Dan on The Slow Mo Guys videos and the interactions between them – especially as Dan’s slightly less sane than Gav and willing to take more needless risks for the sake of an entertaining video. There’s not much risk in this video, though, as Dan spends his time living in a bubble....
The photography of Mexico based Felix Hernández is nothing short of remarkable. Felix specialises in turning dreams into reality, at least, photographically, and he does it in some absolutely amazing ways. Utilising an array of techniques including miniatures, dry ice and even cigarette smoke, his work shows some elaborate thinking. Hasselblad recently launched its latest 100MP flagship camera, the X2D 100c. The camera is the third medium-format mirrorless camera that the company has produced and follows the success of the 50MP X1D-50c and X1D II 50C. The X2D 100C houses a 100-megapixel back-side illuminated CMOS sensor, delivering up to 15 stops of dynamic range with a 16-bit colour depth. However, one thing was a bit puzzling.
