Nikon’s Nikkor Z super telephoto lenses are fantastic pieces of kit, there’s no question. For what they cost, you’d expect them to be pretty spectacular, too. Like most modern autofocus mirrorless lenses, though, they use a focus-by-wire system when manually focusing. Focus by wire lets you make big adjustments by turning the ring quickly or fine adjustments by turning it slowly. A fantastic innovation for photographers, not so much for filmmakers....

When 1991’s Terminator 2 was first released, it was an effects marvel, in terms of both Special Effects and Visual Effects. The two terms are essentially differentiated by their use of computer graphics, and Terminator 2 was pretty groundbreaking in terms of the latter. The International Space Station orbits the Earth about every 90 minutes. However, capturing it as it transits in front of other objects requires meticulous planning and perfect timing. Germany-based photographer Mehmet Ergün caught the ISS as it transits the Sun, and shared his absolutely stunning photo with DIYP. Mehmet is an astrophotographer born in Turkey but grew up mostly in Germany.
