Just over a week ago, word came that DJI had registered an upcoming cut-down DJI Mini 3 non-Pro version with the FCC. Now, we’re getting our first proper look at the drone according to reliable DJI leaker, DealsDrone, on Twitter. From looking at the images, the design looks like a bit of a cross between the DJI Mini 2 and the more recent DJI Mini 3 Pro. But it’s pretty clear that the obstacle avoidance sensors are gone, bringing it more in line with the Mini 2, but with the Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro having similar capabilities already, aside from the obstacle avoidance, how is this not just a slightly redesigned Mini 2?...

The sensor size debate is one that will probably never end. It’s just too polarising of an argument. On the one side, you’ve got the “Full frame = king!” lot, and on the other, you’ve got “Nope, doesn’t make a bit of difference”. Two extremes. The truth, however, is somewhere in the middle, if you look at things objectively. There are definitely benefits and drawbacks to differently sized sensors, but there are also many situations where it really doesn’t matter....

Great news for kids and teenagers whose parents won’t quit posting embarrassing photos of them – Google is now allowing under 18’s to request the takedown of images of themselves from Google searches. Google has cited it as a ‘safety feature’ and anyone can begin the removal process by entering the URL’s of any images they want to remove from search results, the search terms, and names of the minor and name of the parent or guardian acting their behalf....

For a drone surrounded in so much controversy, you think they’d rename it the GoPro Drama. From long release date delays, to falling out of the sky, and the inevitable recall, it’s not had a good time. GoPro even got to the point where they were giving away free GoPro Hero5 Black action cameras to Karma owners to convince them to return them. GoPro have now issued a press release, though, that the Karma is set to be re-released at some point during 2017....
