First there was Yuneec’s new Typhoon H Plus, and now Autel Robotics have announced their new EVO; A compact folding drone to take the DJI Mavic Pro head on. Boasting a 30 minute flight time, the EVO contains all the features we’d hope to find in a competitive drone today....

According to the example of Eriberto and Estevan Oriol, it is possible to pass the talent from father to son. An iconic photographer can influence his son to become iconic himself. Author Mark Synnott has asserted in his new book that China may have been involved in removing and hiding photographic evidence of the first-ever successful ascent of Mount Everest. British climbers George Mallory and his partner Andrew ‘Sandy’ Irvine made the attempt on Everest’s gruelling North Face in 1924 but subsequently went missing and were never seen again. That is until Mallory’s body was discovered in 1999 just 2000 feet from the summit....

It wasn’t too long ago that we thought carbon fibre was the answer to all of our tripod woes. A material that makes our tripods lighter and stronger at the same time. But according to new startup, the Colorado Tripod Company, that’s not the only material from which tripods can benefit. They’re planning to incorporate titanium, too. The company is launching a new titanium ballhead and tripod through Kickstarter. There are also aluminium versions of both, along with a slightly unusual style “open” ballhead (the one pictured above)....
