German photographer Astrid Kirchherr, best-known for her collaboration with The Beatles, has passed away. She died in Hamburg at the age of 81, only a few days before she would turn 82. The sad news was announced by Beatles historian Mark Lewisohn on Twitter. He decribed Kirchherr as “intelligent, inspirational, innovative, daring, artistic, awake, aware, beautiful, smart, loving and uplifting friend to many.” Astrid Kirchherr was born on 20 May 1938 in Hamburg, Germany....

As an open source project based on the Atmel AVR microcontrollers, compatible boards come in all shapes and sizes now.
