The LED panel and LED Bowens mount are both familiar form factors of LED lights. In the last two years, we are seeing a third type of LEDs enter the market – the Mat LED, A.K.A Flex-LED. Essentially it is very similar to an LED panel, only instead of the LEDs being mounted to a rigid surface, they are placed on a flexible mat, hence the name – Flex light. The Soonwell FB21 is the last member to enter this family....
It’s common for animals to cosy up for the winter months and find a nice comfortable place to call home. It’s not so common, however, when that cosy nest happens to be inside the viewfinder of your camera! Photographer Joel Robison got quite the shock when he discovered his camera had been converted into his very own Spider Holster, with this little guy quietly chilling out inside his camera. Joel estimates that the spider has probably been there for around 10 days at this point, and is currently showing no signs of moving out....

People have been waiting a long time for this one. Originally announced way back in April for release in June, the YI 360 VR has faced some delays. This was primarily down to the fact that YI felt they could get a little more performance out of the camera. Now, though, the YI 360 VR finally sees its official launch and is available to buy. YI have teamed up with Microsoft to make it available in the Microsoft store for only $399, the same as the pre-order price....
DIYP has seen its share of interviews, aside our regular work we’ve been to over 10 shows including the latest Photokina. We need a rig that is robust, easy to carry around, and that adapts to various conditions. This rig has gone through many changes over the years, this is what it is now. Funny fact, on the latest photokina, we went to see the Black magic booth. They featured supermodel Jen Brook, so we went to say hi, and put the rig almost hidden to the side....
