Water droplets can be a great photographic subject. Sometimes, it feels like you can see a whole new universe inside of them. Serbian photographer Dusan Stojancevic recently used droplet photography to create something unique – portraits of people. As a part of a collaboration with WaterAid, he marked World Water Day by capturing portraits of Cambodian school children, doctors, cleaners, and farmers. All of them had their life changed thanks to the access to clean water....

On 15 May, police officers in Meqheleng, South Africa reportedly beat photographer Paul Nthoba. He was photographing them for a local newspaper while they were enforcing the coronavirus lockdown. However, they allegedly attacked him verbally at first, and later physically – multiple times. Nthoba, who is the owner and editor of Mohokare News, spoke to CPJ (Committee to Protect Journalists) about the incident. According to him, the incident began while he was taking photos of the police officers on patrol enforcing the area’s coronavirus lockdown....

Most of the cameras that have been on the Moon have reportedly stayed there. So, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll find one here on Earth. Or is it? Photographer and space camera maker Cole Rise managed to find Gene Cernan’s missing camera from Apollo 17. And no, he didn’t have to fly to the Moon to get it – it has been in a museum in Switzerland. Cole published a great article about his search for Gene Cernan’s missing Moon camera....

Collaborations are hard, and the difficulty bar gets higher the more people involved. However, pulling a big collaborative effort done well, can produce massive results. Photographer Rob Woodcox (see his story here) collaborated with over 20 friends and three top creatives to cope up with the skeleton queene story. Sometimes, it’s just impossible to set down a light stand, especially on location. Your stands might not be tall enough to get the light where you want. Perhaps the ground is just completely uneven. There may not even be any ground there at all. These days, though, we have other options. For Chinese photographer Fuyan Liu, that option was to mount Godox AD200 flashes to DJI Inspire 2 drones.
