This watch has been made by a company called eBuyNow, which licensed the Motorola name for its smartwatch. Sounds odd? Well, that’s because it is, but it’s not as surprising as it was a couple of years ago. Nikon’s D7x00 line of DSLRs was last updated only two years ago in March 2015 with the release of the D7200. Now, though, it looks like they’re getting ready to replace it sooner than anybody expected. Perhaps it’s the demand for 4K in a body that costs less than the D500. Maybe it’s some other reason. But whatever it is, Nokishita say it’s being announced “soon (probably next week)”. It’s been suggested by Nikon Rumors that the announcement will be made on April 11th or 12th....

Nikon’s KeyMission 360 camera landed with a fair bit of hype when it was first announced in January. A real camera manufacturer was getting into the 360° market. A company with a hundred years of photographic history. Then after delays in release due to earthquakes, the KeyMission 360 was re-announced, along with two more 80° and 170° cameras. I got to see the KeyMission 360 in person twice this year, at The Photography Show in March, and at Photokina a couple of months ago, but they wouldn’t let us get our hands on them to try them out for ourselves....

I was saddened to see this particular email show up in my inbox this morning. Online publication f11 Magazine is suspending its run, after only six years. F11 was created to have a focus on photography and the photographers who create it, rather than the gear. It was all about appreciating the work, and discovering the journey of those who make it. I’ve been reading f11 Magazine for about 5 years now, and it’s pretty much the only monthly publication I do read....
