Sharing your photography to social media is a major hassle. Every social media platform has different image resolution requirements, aspect ratios, title and key-wording conventions, tags, character restrictions, api rules… While there is very little actual business value to participating in social media at all, there is some value to promoting your work online – the trick is to minimize the amount of time you spend doing it. Photerloo promises to automate sharing your photos to your various social media networks, with the added bonus of an AI keywording tool. Continue reading to learn more…
Automated Social Media, Stock Photography and AI Keywording
Automated Social Media, Stock Photography and AI Keywording
Right now Photerloo supports the following social media networks: 500px, Flickr, Facebook and Twitter.
The team at Photerloo is planning on adding Instagram in a way that will be complaint with their terms of service, and a few other social media networks as well. What separates Photerloo from other social media automation tools such as Later, Buffer and Hootsuite is that Photerloo is designed from the ground up for photographers. To that end, Photerloo has added automated image uploads to Shutterstock with plans to add Adobe Stock and other micro-stock sites. Photerloo also has an integrated AI keywording tool that promises to vastly simplify the chore of keywording your images (I am personally really excited about this – keywording is such a time-sucking chore it limits how much I share online and upload to my stock agency.) The development team tells me that their AI keywording engine is pretty accurate and gets better as it learns with use. Plus there are plans to add a Lightroom plug-in, which would be amazing. Right now Photerloo is in beta testing and is currently free (click here). If you don’t want to try a beta and are looking for something similar, you could also try Pixbuf (click here for our review of Pixbuf). Or, if you’re looking for automated Instagram scheduling and posting, you could try Later (click here for our review of Later).
