With so many ways to be creative in photography, I get really excited with many ideas for a photograph. One area I find very interested is sports action photography, but with a twist. It’s great to capture that split-second moment and have that frame frozen, but I wanted to explore capturing the motion and freezing the action all in one go. If you love both photography and video games, here’s one of the fun ways to bring them together. New Zealand photographer Ben Stewart shows you how to connect Play Station controller with Lightroom. He uses a PS3 controller, but it can also work with other models. Also, although he demonstrates the technique on a PC, it should work for Mac users as well. There are two main pieces of software you’ll need for this: SCPToolKit and JoyToKey....

The year is 2004, and Nikon has just announced their latest flagship 35mm SLR, the Nikon F6. Matt Granger, who I’m surprised wasn’t wearing a “That Nikon Guy” t-shirt for this, has managed to get his hands on one. So, he’s posted up a review. Strangely, despite the fact that he says it’s 2004, he’s managed to shoot the review in 4K. Of course, it’s not really 2004. Film isn’t quite dead yet (it does smell a bit funny, though) and the F6 did not go on to destroy the impending oncoming digital storm....

Photography is not a crime. Sucker punching a man and beating him while on the ground is. This lesson was learned by three individuals in San Francisco recently after attacking photographer Peter Muller. Muller had taken a couple of photos of an accident that had occurred to send to a friend over Snapchat who was out of town. Muller says the accident was due to a taxi driver falling asleep at the wheel....

Using her photography and photo manipulation skills, photographer Karen Alsop created her version of a time travel. When her mother found a photo of Karen’s Great Great Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother, it made Karen wonder: what it would be like to meet her ancestors, sit down and talk to them? Even more, how incredible it would be for her kids to meet them? And so, the idea was born....
