Photographer-owned brand Long Weekend has launched three colourful new camera bags. The new lineup includes the Beacon Tote, Monterey Sling, and a snug little camera pouch for your favourite point-and-shoot camera. The bags are aimed purposefully at the film shooter, but also straddle the digital photography world perfectly. Long Weekend was started in 2021 by photographers Willem Verbeeck and Allison Simon. They wanted to create a fresh new gear brand that was inspired by epic road trips, shooting film, and slowing down to take it all in.

The 18L Beacon Tote holds all the essentials with a zippered main compartment with a padded laptop sleeve, key loop, and water bottle pocket. The additional exterior quick-access pouch is perfectly sized for easy access to your point and shoot or phone. The bag is very roomy and absolutely large enough to fit in all the essentials for a working-away-from-home excursion, say at the beach or co-working cafe. It’s far more comfortable than carrying a separate bag or relying on a trouser pocket for example. And if travelling in larger cities will provide a small layer of extra security against potential pickpockets.
