Tasker has made a name for itself with its powerful automation tools. Thanks to strong word of mouth, the app is rapidly adding users globally. But the nature of work it does makes the app a little complex to use, particularly for new users. It may even feel like a programming app of sorts. Developer João Dias wanted to change that. He wanted to ensure that new users don’t feel out of place. That’s where the Tasky UI comes into play. Tasky is a new Tasker interface designed specifically for starters, so they get aboard the app comfortably. It welcomes people with a concise UI featuring simple pre-built routines to make you feel at home from day one. You get automation for basic tasks such as turning the phone silent, touch protection when in the pocket, parking notification, selective enabling of location, and many more to get started. The app boasts something useful for everyone. You can still customize the pre-built routines according to your usage and needs. As the developer states, “Tasky is Tasker made simple.” Of course, the existing full-fledged Tasker experience isn’t going anywhere. If you’re comfortable dealing with the complexities, you can directly move on to the powerful side of things, which also lets you create your custom routines. You can also switch back to the Tasky UI anytime. So it’s a nice option to have if you ever feel stuck. You can see a demo of Tasky in the video below.
