You might have heard of Foldio collapsible light boxes. Or maybe you already own one. Although they are pretty handy and useful, their disadvantage is that many products can fit inside. So now, the OrangeMonkie team has developed Foldio3, a 25”x25” collapsible portable light box. Once folded, it fits inside a laptop bag. And when you unfold it and set it up, you can take shots of all sorts of products. Foldio3 has built in LED light, with an option of adding extra lights using a simple magnet. You can control the intensity of the lights, both for the built-in and the additional lights. It’s easy to fold and unfold the light box, as well to control the lights and add or remove the backdrop.

Foldio3 uses high-quality materials, and it takes a few seconds to set it up. It includes black and white backdrop, which is quick for setting up as well. The black backdrop provides high-quality images, without any reflections on the background.

The new Foldio light box has advanced lighting over the previous, smaller models. It’s designed to minimize the shadows, for more efficient product shots. It comes with 3 integrated LED strips, and you have an option of adding “Halo Bars.” The Halo Bars are the additional lights you can attach to the side of the Foldio3, and they use magnets for easy adding and removing. You can combine them with the integrated LED lights of the box, or use them separately to create a different mood in the shots. You can control both the Halo bars and the integrated lights with a dimmer, and it’s also really simple to do.

In addition to the foldable light box, the Halo Bars and the dimmer, you can also buy the Foldio360. It’s a smart turntable you can add inside of the Foldio3 light box and take 360° product shots. OrangeMonkie team has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the Foldio3. It’s successfully finished today and it significantly exceeded its goal. Of course, you can still order the light box there, and get it alone for $109 or combined with two halo bars for $129. It’s expected to ship in September 2017.
